Thank you! Nearing the end of a lovely trip. Off the coast of B.C. right now, internet is super slow so just stopped in to say hi. 🙂

I'm going to be traveling starting tomorrow so after today  I won't be around for the next week or so.

Try not to burn the place down while I'm gone.

Have fun and stay safe.  As always, you will be missed.

The only other song besides Telstar I remember from that collection is Knock Three Times (1970).

There was a Vietnam War war protest song but I can't remember what it was. It's odd, but I pretty much floated through the Vietnam War era in a bubble of my parents' making. I would've been 15 when it ended but my mom especially had us so socially sequestered that I can't say I had the same awareness that other young teens my age would've had.

Yep, I remember that song and use to sing along with it.  I really miss that 70's and 80's music.

Okay here's mine, one of my all-too-frequent odd coincidences: I was just remembering the other day my older sister's (by 8 years) boyfriend's music collection - this would've been roughly 1970, when I was 10 years old. I don't know why that memory popped into my head, but the song was Telstar. Literally just a couple days later, at the county fair this weekend, there was a quite good oldies band playing, and they started playing Telstar... it was like I was a kid again, sitting on the floor of my sister's bedroom, going through all those (wait for it...)

8-track tapes...

But it's so strange to remember that rather random song and then hear it playing just days later...

I love those types of memories.  I would love to step back into the mid 70’s, early 80’s.  We need a nostalgia thread
